A century ago, the world was in the grips of a massive flu pandemic, which left millions dead and the medical establishment powerless to stop it. But in a rural town in Oregon, the influence of traditional Chinese medicine may have saved the lives of an entire community. This is the story of Chinese immigrants and what they built in the Oregon wilderness at the end of the gold rush… This is the story of Kam Wah Chung.

The Speech that Saved America was the first time an American President was created in CG for a documentary.  Considered the best in the vfx field of his time, Award Winning Director Pierre DeLespinois hired me as the cinematographer to capture a mixture of live action and green screen across the Appalachian mountains.  This was the first 7-figure film deal for Discovery.

As a Director, Cinematographer and Producer, I worked with the Curiosity Stream Executive team, including Executive Producer Steve Burns, scientists and trailblazers to create science documentaries for the VOD streaming service.

As a cinematographer shooting for Backyard Productions and AD agency Cramer-Krasselt, I worked closely with the Director to achieve a black line "street look" from various scenes around Los Angeles, CA.

As a cinematographer, I worked with Director Dylan Swartz of KISSED Studios LA to create a “scuff” campaign for Adidas.

As an IATSE 600 cinematographer shooting for Backyard Productions, Director Chuck Ozeas, EP Kris Mathur, producer Kevin Sharpton and the client was a dream come true.

I worked as a cinematographer for Pilgrim Studios LA chasing teams of runners across America in a race for the ages.

Shooting on green screen while  using giant razors for my directorial debut with Backyard Productions, AD Agency BBDO for client Proctor and Gamble was a career highlight.

As cinematographer in my first music video with Director Tim Nakashi and fellow IATSE 600 cinematographer Rachel Morrison, we rode with the band and a super model from Santa Monica, California to Hollywood cinéma vérité.

"It's a gorgeously shot and sunny video for a slightly melancholy but incredibly catchy song."
